The SEC Southwest Mining Ltd Prospecting License covers an area of 156.98 Km² and was granted in 2014. The mining concession has been assigned Land Registry Number LVD 14481/2014 and was renewed on 9th May 2023. The concession is located southwest of Takoradi, the Western Region Capital. Takoradi, is 290 kilometers from Accra via Cape Coast on a sealed route. Three other mining concessions border that of SEC Southwest Mining Ltd. The full project will consist of quarry mining, executive housing development, state-of-the-art mining equipment, and the establishment of a solar farm in Phase III of mining.
